To thoughtfully connect and elevate the local dance community by providing performance opportunities to dancers with the common thread of fusion.
Conceptualized in 2023, Alchemy Fest hosted their first successful showcase in September 2024 and looks forward to hosting future events in Ottawa over the coming years.
The Alchemy Fest team is small but mighty! Founded by local Ottawa fusion dancer, Ophelia, who is committed to helping her fellow dancers grow and showcase their unique works. Her efforts have been supported by a network of local dancers and volunteers.

Code of Conduct
Creating art requires space for vulnerability. It is our shared responsibility to create safe spaces for the dancers in this show to take artistic risks.
Alchemy Fest is committed to providing a safe, inclusive and respectful environment for performers, audience members, staff and volunteers. All forms of harassment, including sexual harassment, discrimination, bullying, and violence, will not be tolerated.
Concerns about any disruptive or offensive behaviour should be directed to the event organizer, Ophelia.
Respectful Fusion
Alchemy Fest is a celebration of the synergy that arises when diverse dance styles converge. Performers will balance experimentation and interpretation while respecting cultural roots of the dance. This includes acknowledging cultural influences and giving due credit as appropriate.
Land Acknowledgement
Alchemy Fest 2024 takes place on the traditional unceded territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation. We gratefully acknowledge the use of this land upon which we dance, create, and gather.
